Co-Op Jobs List

Executive Board Positions:

President ~ The President conducts general business meetings and meetings of the Board. The President is also responsible for direct communication with the Church officials, for conducting and reporting an annual parent evaluation of the school and ensuring the adherence to all school policies and procedures.

Vice President ~ The Vice President handles registration and enrollment and assists the President in discharge of his/her duties.

Treasurer ~ The Treasurer collects, disburses and records all monies.

Recording Secretary ~ The Recording Secretary keeps minutes of all membership and Board meetings.

Co-Op Community Jobs:

Fundraising Committee ~ A fundraising coordinator will oversee the school fundraising efforts, including the following Fundraising Committee jobs:

  • Original Works
  • Fundraising Sales (wrapping paper, pizza, etc.)
  • Retail rewards programs
  • Box Tops
  • Fall Fling (1-2 people will work together to coordinate a group to execute the fall fundraising event)
  • Spring Auction (1-2 people will work together to coordinate a group to execute the event)

Enrichment ~ One to two parents will work together to coordinate and implement enrichment efforts for the school. Past activities have included a Magazine Drive for the troops, canned food drives and Adopt-a-Family efforts during the holidays.

Two's Class Assistant ~ The volunteer must be available to serve as the teacher's assistant in the two's classroom every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9am-11:15am.

Class Parents ~ Class parents (one to two for each class) are responsible for helping to coordinate class parties, class contributions to fundraisers, teacher gifts, etc. throughout the school year.

Health Parents ~ Health Parents (one for each class) are responsible for collecting the required health forms from their particular class, making student folders and filing the forms at school.

Scheduling Parents ~ Scheduling parents (one for each class) are responsible for setting the monthly co-op schedules for their individual classes.

Social Committee ~ A Social Committee Chairperson will be responsible for overseeing and helping with the execution of the following Social Committee responsibilities:

  • Back to School Ice Cream Social
  • Nibbles and Nogs Holiday Party / Parent Nights Out
  • Playdates and Family Days (Community Calendar)

Santa Night Coordinator ~ One to two volunteers will be responsible for assisting teachers in making sure program is well planned and executed, setting up chairs, creating programs, securing a Santa volunteer, organizing refreshments and cleaning up after the event.

Open House Coordinators ~ One to two volunteers will be responsible for setting dates and coordinating volunteers for Open House registration events.

Website & Facebook ~ One to two volunteers will maintain the school's online presence. The website uses Blogger software and administering the Facebook page requires volunteer to have a Facebook account themselves.

Advertising Coordinators ~ One to two volunteers will be responsible for coordinating monthly advertisement with Baltimore's Child magazine, designing and implementing other marketing strategies to increase the school's presence in the market and build enrollment.

Housekeeping Coordinators ~ One to two volunteers will be responsible for maintaining the housekeeping supply closet and setting the bi-monthly cleaning schedule.

Photography Parent ~ Volunteer will be responsible for taking photographs at school events, field trips, etc. for use on the school website and Facebook page and for maintaining student "photo release forms."
